Acciona recorded a net profit of 201 million euros until June, which represents an increase of 35.6% compared to the same period of 2021. A growth that reflects the positive evolution of its businesses, especially energy and infrastructure, a division this last one that one more quarter beat its portfolio volume, now set at 20,580 million euros.
The group registered revenues of 5,177 million euros between January and June, which implies a rise of 45.6% in the interannual rate. Meanwhile, the gross operating result (ebitda) rose 65.5% more than a year earlier, to 1,064 million euros.
Acciona Energy contributed 2,206 million, with an increase of 111.9%, to turnover, 909 million (+81.7%) to EBITDA. Meanwhile, the infrastructure division earned 2,648 million (+20.6%) with an EBITDA of 149 million (+18.8%), despite the lower contribution in comparative terms from the Concessions business, after the divestment of a portfolio of assets in Spain completed in 2021. The behavior of construction stands out in this area, with a turnover of 2,003 million (+20.6%) and generated an EBITDA of 84 million (+49.2%). In the first half of this year, Acciona made a net investment of 1,217 million, of which 770 million were allocated to energy, 143 million to infrastructure and 82 million to real estate. In addition, the company allocated 139 million to the capital increase carried out by Nordex in June by which it increased its stake from 33.6% to 39.66%.
At the end of the semester, net financial debt amounted to 5,041 million compared to 5,792 million a year ago (-13%).
